Wills Made Easy Canada

Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the Wills Made Easy website or booking our services. By accessing our website or booking an appointment, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. About Wills Made Easy

Wills Made Easy is a document preparation and appointment coordination service. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. Our services connect clients with independent licensed legal professionals (lawyers and notaries) who prepare and execute estate planning documents at in-person appointments.

If you require legal advice — including guidance on complex estates, tax planning, contested family situations, or any matter requiring legal counsel — you should retain a practicing lawyer independently.

2. Services Provided

Wills Made Easy facilitates the preparation and execution of the following documents at a single in-person appointment:

  • Legal Will
  • Enduring Power of Attorney
  • Healthcare Directive
  • Guardian Appointment (where applicable)

Services are performed by independent licensed legal professionals in each province. The specific professional assigned to your appointment may vary by location and availability.

3. Eligibility

To use our services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your province)
  • Be a resident of Canada
  • Have legal capacity to enter into contracts and make a valid will under the laws of your province

4. Booking and Appointments

When you book an appointment, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information in your intake questionnaire
  • Arrive at your scheduled appointment with valid government-issued photo identification
  • Provide the required number of witnesses if applicable in your province

We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel appointments with reasonable notice. If we cancel your appointment, you will receive a full refund or the option to rebook at no additional charge.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

You may cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours before the scheduled time without penalty. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee. Please contact us directly if you need to cancel or reschedule.

Refund requests after a completed appointment will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

6. Annual Updates

All packages include free annual updates. Updates are subject to availability and scheduling and apply to changes in your personal circumstances (new dependants, change in marital status, asset changes, etc.). Updates do not include preparation of entirely new documents or legal advice.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Wills Made Easy and its affiliated legal professionals shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our services or any errors or omissions in the documents prepared.

Our total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the appointment in question.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, design, graphics, and logos — is the property of Wills Made Easy and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without our prior written consent.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
